It's been forever
Hey guys sorry it's been so long since I last posted. Sean and I have both been so busy lately. Anyway... Not too much new to report. The Dr. put me on clomid this month and I hated it. I felt like crying all the time and felt real anxious. I just started today so it didn't work obviously. Sean and I have decided to not do anymore testing for now. The insurance decided that eventhough they had said would pay for testing, they are now denying all charges. Our insurance only covers family planning which pretty much covers anything to prevent pregnancy. So if your trying to have a family your out of luck. For now all we can do is pray for God to bless us with a child in His timing. We feel at peace that even if we can't have our own children that we would love to adopt. Even if we can have kids we would love to adopt. There are over 100-200 million orphans in the world that need a home. Please pray for me that I would be patient and wait on His timing. Not this month
Just to update everyone. Well I'm not pregnant. I was 4 days late so I was starting to sorta get my hopes up. But I started today. I spoke to the nurse and since and I was 4 days late and was still getting negative results on my test she was going to have me do blood work Tuesday to see if that would show I was pregnant. Well about 2 hrs later I started. I will speak to the nurse tomorrow and see what the next step is and I believe it's clomid. I'll update again once I speak with her.

Quick Update
We spent Easter weekend down in Corpus and had a great time visiting family and friends.
Not too much happening on the pregnancy front. I did figure out that I am not ovulating until day 19 or 20 ( that may be too much info for some of you) which was a huge shock to me. I was always told that it was about a week sooner than that. So who knows that could have been our problem all along. I should be starting clomid in the next week in a half. That is if I don't get pregnant this month. So pleaseeeeeee prayyyyyyyyyyyy. I promise to update sooner the next time.

Test went great!
I had my test done this morning and the radiologist said my tubes looked open and clear. So that was great news to hear. I will let you know what happens next. I believe the Dr. is going to put me on clomid. Will see.....

Hysterosalpingogram
The nurse called yesterday and scheduled my test for this Friday. I copied and pasted an article below of what exactly the procedure is.
What to expect during a hysterosalpingogram:
The hysterosalpingogram study only takes about 5 minutes to actually perform. However as the test is usually done in the radiology department of a hospital there is additional time for the woman to register at the facility and fill out a questionnaire and answer some questions regarding allergies to medication etc. The way the test is done is the following:
The woman lies on the table on her back and brings her feet up into a "frog leg" position.
The doctor places a speculum in the vagina and visualizes the cervix.
Either a soft, thin catheter is placed through the cervical opening into the uterine cavity or an instrument called a tenaculum is placed on the cervix and then a narrow metal cannula is inserted through the cervical opening.
Contrast is slowly injected through the cannula or catheter into the uterine cavity. An x-ray picture is taken as the uterine cavity is filling and then additional contrast is injected so that the tubes should fill and begin to spill into the abdominal cavity. Additional x-rays are taken as this "fill and spill" occurs.
When both tubes are demonstrated to be patent (or blocked), the woman is usually asked to roll to one side or the other slightly to give a slightly oblique x-ray image which may help to further delineate her anatomy.
 The procedure is now complete. The instruments are removed from the cervix and vagina. The woman usually remains on the table for several minutes to recover from the cramping which usually accompanies injection of the contrast.
After several minutes the woman can get dressed and leave the hospital.
The results of the test are immediately available. The x-ray pictures can be reviewed with the woman several minutes after the procedure has been completed if both she and the physician prefer to do this.

Testing
So after going to see Dr. Howell, he told me he was going to do some testing on Sean and I. Well mostly on me Seans part was a piece of cake.lol. Here is a list of the test I've had so far.
March 3- I had an ulttrasound on the 3rd day of my cycle to see how everything looked(not so comfortable) when you're on the time of the month.
Report- everything looked normal.
March 6- Blood work
Report- Everything looked normal
March 13- Another ultrasound and more dreaded blood work. this untralsound was done on my 13 day of my cycle.
Report- At the time the ultrasound tech said that I had a perfect follicle and that we should try tonight and then 2 days later and to call when I missed my period. The Dr. called me about a week in a half later and said that even though I had a perfect follicle that according to my blood work he wasn't convinced that I was ovulating. Neither am I because I started my period a few days after I spoke to him.
March 17- Sean had his SA done and everything checked out fine-He was soo nervous it was going to be him. I can't blame him no one wants to be the one.
March 30- waiting on the nurse to call to schedule my Folopian Dye Test- Thats where they will shoot dye into my folopian tubes to see if I have any blockage. I'm kinda nervous about this test because they said since I have never been pregnant that my uterous will contract and it will cramp really bad. They said it only last for a few seconds.

Timeline Part 2
Anyway.... after trying to start a family for over a year and a half. I decided it was time to go to the Dr. Sean and I both come from big familys. I am from a family of 6 kids and Sean has 2 siblings. My dad is 1 of 5 boys and Seans mom is 1 of 9 children. So as you can see we never thought having children would be an issue. My brother and his wife became pregnant there first month of trying. I am soo excited to be an Aunt in early August.
When we first went to the doctor last month, he said that the odds are we should of been pregnant by now. I wasn't completely surprised by his comment, because I know lots of people that get pregnant normally within the first 6 months of trying. He is a really nice and caring doctor and told us that he was going to take care of us.

Timeline Part 1
To give you guys a little timeline... Sean and I started trying to have a family in August 2007. At first when we didn't conceive we didn't worry, but after a year become a little concerned. I will write more tomorrow.
